This quilt’s story: This story takes place several years after the bombing of the Murreh Federal Building on April 19, 1995 in Oklahoma City. The story is about two orphans named Brady Bradshaw and Jenna Phillips. The survivor tree was a large elm tree in the parking lot. It was badly damaged in the bombing. The title of the book comes from Brody’s memory of his mother reading the book To the Moon and Back. When she would finish the book she would always tell Brody that she loves him to the moon and back.
